Milani 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer – Hi-Tech
Hi Tech is a grassy yellow-green color with mostly green and gold shimmer
Milani 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer – Hi-Res
Hi Res is medium tones grape color with mostly purple and silver shimmer
Both Milani 3D Holographic polishes apply easy and the removal is easy unlike glitter polishes which because of their typically gritty nature can take longer to remove, the formula on these are a bit on the thin side but become opaque in three coats and dry fairly fast as well. So if you like holographic polishes I would definitely recommend these, especially for the price tag of $4.99 which is pretty reasonable in terms of what other brands charge for their holographic polishes.
Other colors available in the 3D Holographic line are HD (Silver), 3D (Gold), Cyberspace (Blue), and Digital (Pink).
Hedy’s Ma.nish.ma. Holographic Nail Color – Blaster
I picked this polish up on a whim at Rite Aid since it looked pretty in the bottle, and while it’s labeled as a holographic polish I feel it’s certainly not the case even from just looking at the color in the bottle it translate more as a shimmery iridescent glitter polish but I figured I would give it a try. This polish is extremely thin and sheer; to even get a somewhat opaque finish I had to do about 6-7 coats as shown in the picture above so this may be best used as a layering polish over other shades. The color itself is still really pretty with a light cloudy lavender base with flecks of purple and blue glitter that gives off a light blue duo-chrome effect. Also the other downside is while this is a drugstore polish I think it’s still a bit pricey considering of how much product you get, the retail price is $3.99 and you only get .22 Fl. Oz.
The other colors in their line consist of 3 other shades; Way Out Fuchsia (Pink), Space Silver (Silver), and Beyond Opal (White Opalescent).
Overall, I’m not really impressed with this polish while I still like it and find it pretty and maybe a little unique I find it requires more effort than it should plus for me the price mark makes it a turn off.
Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail Color – Be-Jeweled
Be-Jeweled is a fine purple glitter with larger light pink glitter pieces.
Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail Color – Cha-Ching!
Cha-Ching is a fine bright red glitter with larger silver glitter pieces.
I found both of the Gem Crush polishes to apply well, the formula on these were right in the middle; not to thick and not to thin and were just about opaque in 2 coats and 3 coats for a perfect finish. These definitely do need a top coat to really show off the beautiful sparkly glitter since worn alone without a top coat they can look a bit dull and flat. On a positive note these both dried fairly fast in between coats. The only downside I could think of would be the price, they retail for $6.99 each but you can typically find coupons from drugstores to save a few bucks or often catch them on sale for buy 1 get 1 half off.
Overall I absolutely love these polishes and find them well worth the price since even possible dupes for some of these colors are pretty much in the same price range
